What I do when my fingers aren’t glued to a keyboard writing.

Up, up, and away – 103 stories above Chicago in the Willis Tower Skydeck.

With the amazing, legendary Don Francisco, creator and star of the mega-hit series Sabado Gigante, which he hosted – LIVE – every week for half a century. Wow! Just, wow!

This is one of my favorite spots on earth – the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.

Meeting a great guy, John Leguizamo, who says – get this! – he loves The Ghosts of Hero Street.

Of course this Floridian loves getting out, and in, the water.

Yeah, it’s a pretty good feeling to find one of your books on the shelf at Barnes & Noble. (It’s even better spotting it in someone’s hand at the checkout counter, but, hey …)

I think I may have just finished writing another book in this picture. Nothing compares to that feeling of writing “The End,” and sending another creative newborn out into the world.

Meeting one of my creative heroes, John Oliver. He’s a HUGE talent, and I’m a HUGE fan. (Yes, we both had different hairstyles then.)

Rick Atkins – amazing writer! Wrote one of the, if not THE, best trilogy of World War II histories, the Liberation Trilogy. My fave is the first, An Army at Dawn.

As a Miami Herald reporter. I don’t think I ever cinched my tie all the way to my neck. And I’m pretty sure I was wearing sneakers.

One of the great things about writing: Done right, there are plenty of fun adventures. Yes, I got to run that stock car around the track faster than I’d ever gone. Best of all, I got to meet Richard Petty himself.

Ah, back in the TV days. Check out that tie! (Not to mention the ‘stache and the TV hair.)
